Ulm, 8. April 2021 – Sensor specialist HENSOLDT supports the Central Vaccination Centre (ZIZ) Baden-Württemberg in the Ulm Exhibition Centre in its fight against Corona. The company is releasing the company doctor at its Ulm site, Dr Lorenz Raming, to work at the ZIZ. In addition to his duties at HENSOLDT, Dr Raming also works at the ZIZ for one and a half days a week in his free time.
"I would like to contribute to ending the pandemic as quickly as possible," says Dr Raming. "This can only be done through vaccinations and also only if many people also commit themselves to this in their free time." And Peter Fieser, Chief Human Resources Officer of HENSOLDT AG, adds: "We at HENSOLDT are proud to contribute to the fight against the pandemic with the means at our disposal. This is our social responsibility!"
In the initial phase of the pandemic, HENSOLDT made special capabilities of its production available to manufacture protective shields, which were donated to the German Armed Forces Hospital and the University Hospital and used to protect employees in endangered areas.
At HENSOLDT's Ulm site, approximately 2,500 employees are involved in the development and production of sensors, including radars, electronic protection systems and high-frequency electronic components.
