  • IT Systems Support Engineer IT

    Required to Screen, refer, and diagnose internal issues and work requests as they relate to the maintenance of personal computers and related systems. Resolve 1st and 2nd line helpdesk problems and answer queries by telephone in support of internal and external connected PC’s, software applications, and basic network communications. Manage mobile infrastructure, setup devices

    Provide IT support as part of a team for the IT Infrastructure Including Email system and data storage solutions, servers, and network communications. Working alongside the Senior IT Systems Administrator loading OS and configuring computers for staff. May prepare help desk incident reports and maintain IT Asset Database. Participate in dedicated IT Projects and assist in hardware and software evaluation.

  • Principal FPGA Engineer Engineering

    The Principal FPGA Engineer is responsible for the decomposition of top level system or product requirements into an implementable FPGA architecture. The Principal Engineer is responsible for FPGA developments from preliminary specification to verified design running on the target hardware.

    The Principal Engineer provides expert knowledge of electronic design, test and certification of systems based around advanced FPGAs. The Principal Engineer will also, in conjunction with the FPGA Engineering Manager, provide coaching, leadership and guidance to other Design Engineers. 

    JOB FUNCTIONS

    • To use good engineering practice to produce Firmware for new, innovative and profitable products and solutions for the business.
    • To support and enhance existing Firmware in accordance with business and commercial requirements.
    • To be responsible for defining requirements for a feature/bug fix up to full system level; design and document a solution that meets the requirements; and, implement, test and verify the design meets the requirements with supported test evidence.
    • To undertake design, implementation and debugging of VHDL based FPGA hardware.
    • To undertake design and development of test benches and vectors to verify VHDL based FPGA.
    • To write technical documentation including requirement specifications, test specification and functional description.
    • Will be expected to take responsibility of multiple projects/work packages.  This will involve scoping the task and defining resources together with estimated time scales.  Project ownership will involve monitoring project progress and reporting to stake holders.
    • To be knowledgeable of HENSOLT UK working polices and ensure they are followed throughout the team.
    • To be responsible for building a Software/Firmware package for release; including: configuring the release, raising the appropriate documentation and chairing the release meeting.

  • Senior Embedded Software Engineer Engineering

    The Senior Embedded Software Engineer is responsible for the whole or an assigned portion of a design from preliminary specification through to verified software.  The Senior Embedded Software Engineer provides expert knowledge of software design, test and verification.

    JOB FUNCTIONS:

    • To use good engineering practice to produce embedded software for new, innovative and profitable products and solutions for the business.
    • To support and enhance existing software in accordance with business and commercial requirements.

  • Senior Systems Engineer Engineering

    A Systems Engineer is required within the Surveillance Systems business to develop and deliver Company and Customer Funded systems projects based upon HENSOLDT UK state of the art radar technology. Activities will include all aspects of the Systems Engineering lifecycle from System Concept through to Delivery and Acceptance, including Bid Support, System Design and System Integration.

    Applicants are required to be flexible in their approach to work, as every project and support issue presents different challenges. Applicants must also possess an aptitude for problem solving and have an eye for detail.

    JOB FUNCTIONS:

    • Activities will include all aspects of the Systems Engineering lifecycle from System Concept through to Delivery and Acceptance, including Bid Support, System Design, Integration, Verification and Customer Acceptance.

  • Systems Engineer Engineering

  • Surveillance Field Systems Engineer Engineering

    Working for HENSOLDT UK within the Customer Service Department, the Surveillance Field Systems Engineer’s role is primary Field based supporting customers around the world, conducting various technical activities on Naval, Shore Based, Security, Commercial and the wider HENSOLDT products.

    JOB FUNCTIONS:

    • Travelling within the UK and multiple overseas destinations is a regular feature of this role and requests to travel could be made at short notice.
    • Conduct Setting to Work, Commissioning, Harbour Acceptance and Sea/Site Acceptance tests for supported systems on land and ship based platforms.
    • Carry out Service interventions on supported systems which includes troubleshooting and repairing hardware, software, electronic, electrical, and mechanical faults down to LRU level.
    • Participate in Trial activities to characterise and prove system capabilities.
    • Strive for Quality, Improvement and Customer Satisfaction.
    • Completing detailed service reports and expenses on completion of each activity in a timely manner.

    • Familiarise and observe all Health and Safety rules and regulations during working hours.

    The security solutions business produces integrated security solutions to Critical National infrastructure and Militaries all around the world. Using a variety of in house sensors, from the Hensoldt group of companies, trusted partners, and externally sourced sensors and software modules. The Software Test Automation Engineer will be responsible for the improvements to, and maintenance of the integrated C2 application that links up all the sensors to create the heart of the solution. The design and update of the GUI, the addition of new features, and the interfaces to existing and new sensors will all be within the software engineers’ area of responsibility.

    JOB FUNCTIONS:

    • Maintain, improve and adapt the existing C2 software and the surrounding components in accordance with HENSOLDT Security Solutions roadmap, the state of the art and further commercial and project requirements

  • Product Engineering Manager Engineering

    The Project Engineering Manager is required to primarily work on projects that require product development within HENSOLDT UK. The Project Engineering Manager will be expected to manage all aspects of these projects including project definition, project delivery and stakeholder management. A close liaison with Projects, Engineering,  Operations, Procurement, Customer Services, Quality and Accounting departments within the Company will be required to fulfil this task.

  • Senior Commercial Bid Manager Legal & Compliance

    The role will encompass a broad range of interactions, with both internal (HENSOLDT group companies and external stakeholders), and will encompass the provision of guidance, assistance, technical (contractual & regulatory) and commercial inputs (including development of the pricing model) and negotiation support.

    The role is focused upon all aspects of the penetration of global markets for the business lines, within HENSOLDT UK, and supporting the business development and sales activities for penetration of the UK market with products and services sourced across HENSOLDT group. Additionally, the post holder will support bid and contract requests from other Lines of Business, including Transversal and Domain Sales, and providing support to the Head of Legal & Compliance, with respect to the broader activities of the team.

    The post holder will be responsible for implementation of, and compliance with, relevant HENSOLDT group policies, in particular those relating to Risk Management procedures. The post holder will also act as lead for major bids and, together with the team, shall provide the commercial customer- facing support to Business Development and Sales Managers in the negotiations for potential major contracts and or where HENSOLDT UK are prime and where specific contractual discussions may require support.

    Comprehensive testing of high complexity electro mechanical products that form part of a marine radar navigation product range.

    JOB FUNCTIONS

    • Comprehensive testing (including RF), faultfinding, rework and assembly of electro mechanical equipment to a high standard of quality, using Oscilloscopes, Power Meters, Power supplies, experience of working up to 25KW peak power.
    • Work from detailed procedures, drawings, documents, change notes, schematics, oral and written instructions.
    • Work and rework to a high standard of accuracy, consisting  of operations such as, soldering & unsoldering, wiring & crimping, detailed rework of printed circuit assemblies, using a variety of tools and equipment necessary to complete the operations.
